Empowering Green Vocational Training: Academia Attends 2nd Partnership Meeting for eVETbikes Erasmus+ project

On May 28 and 29, 2024, Academia participated in the second transnational project meeting of the eVETbikes E+ project, which was held at the EGO Bicycle Campus in Ankara, Turkey. Represented by Majda Kralj and Bojan Dapčević, Academia joined partners from Turkey, Czech, and Romania to promote sustainable practices in vocational education and raise awareness about sustainable lifestyles.

The two-day event combined theoretical insights with practical activities, creating a comprehensive and engaging experience for participants.

The highlights included:

• Project and Objectives Overview: Partners shared updates on the project’s progress and discussed its goals, emphasizing sustainability in education.
• Interactive Sessions: Participants engaged in dynamic discussions, exploring innovative approaches to integrating sustainable practices into vocational training programs.
• E-Bike Repair Competition: Teams demonstrated their technical skills and problem-solving abilities by completing real-world repair challenges under time constraints.
• E-Bike Race: Participants showcased their practical understanding of e-bike operations in a lively race, emphasizing the fun and practicality of sustainable mobility.
• Award Ceremonies: Winners of the competitions were recognized, celebrating their achievements and fostering a spirit of collaboration.

Majda Kralj and Bojan Dapčević actively participated in discussions about embedding sustainability into vocational education and enhancing environmental awareness among youth. Their contributions helped shape meaningful conversations on curriculum development and practical applications for sustainability in education.
