In the past decade, we have witnessed exponential advancements in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), which not only transforms the modern world as we know it but also lays the foundation for a future where technological innovations will be of paramount importance.

The development of AI is not limited to the technological applications we increasingly encounter in our daily lives, but it extends deep into the established practices of today’s industries, including media production. This transformation is reflected in all segments of the media ecosystem, from data collection automation and content personalization to autonomous stores and vehicles.

In this thesis, I will explore the possibilities of replacing human tasks with artificial intelligence in media production, focusing on both creative and repetitive tasks within the media production process.

Despite the rapid progress of technology, the current AI models that are freely and publicly available to the general public are not yet capable of generating footage indistinguishable from real footage. Therefore, I will attempt to break down media tasks into smaller parts and assign them to various AI models, which will serve as tools for executing specific tasks, while the final shaping of the project remains in my (human) hands.

I will discuss how AI can reshape video production workflows and its impact on team size, speed, efficiency, and the quality of the final product. The thesis will also address how AI enables individuals to explore new forms of innovation and creativity.

Through a practical example of a video project production, I will test the use of AI in roles such as scriptwriting, creative directing, music composing, sound design, and color grading. The goal is to assess whether AI can become an indispensable partner in media production and how this will influence the further development of the industry.

This research will serve as a foundation for understanding future trends and possibilities brought by the integration of AI into the workflow in the broad field of media production.

This research emphasizes that, despite its limitations, AI already opens new opportunities for innovation today, but it also requires thoughtful and creative integration of the results produced by AI models.

Artificial intelligence is only as good as its controller; without human guidance that directs, reshapes, and connects the results, AI still remains a tool without real creative value.
