Graphic Design
Lucija Macuh, a student of the Media Production – Graphic Design module, went to Paris, France, with the help of the Erasmus+ program, specifically for practical training at the ECU (European Indipended Film Festival), an organization that organizes an annual festival dedicated to independent film.
The beginning of October offered Lucie Macuh a unique opportunity to work and learn in the beautiful city of Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, where she began her experience of a few months of practical training at the ECU (European Independent Film Festival), which will surely remain in her memory forever.
As a designer, she found herself in a world where art and film are merged. She says that her work at ECU is varied and varied. Designing logos for upcoming festivals, creating brochures, flyers, social media posts, film schedules, and designing promotional products and covers – it has all become part of her daily routine. Designing the look and feel of an event celebrating independent film was an opportunity she gladly accepted earlier this autumn.
“Working at ECU allows me to express my creativity in ways I could hardly have imagined before. Creating designs that will feature in upcoming festivals is a task I am proud to do.”
But her experience in Paris is not limited to work. The city itself is beautiful and full of history and culture. During her free time, she has already had the opportunity to visit various landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre. Paris has captivated her with its architecture, art, and excellent food. But what she is most grateful for are the people with whom she shares this experience. The ECU team comes from different parts of the world and different cultures, but they are united by their passion for the world of cinema. Their diversity is their strength, as they support and learn from each other.
“Paris set the stage for this special period in my life. Working at ECU and exploring the city combined my passions for design and travel, so this experience will definitely become an important part of my personal growth and career path.”
