The thesis presents the process and techniques of analog sound recording, which are key to achieving high-quality audio recordings. The thesis explores the placement of microphones, the arrangement and editing of sound and the thoughtful use of effects for a richer and more natural sound. The final part of the thesis also describes the mixing of the entire song to the mastering stage.

The study begins with the basics of recording analog sounds, analyzing the differences between different microphones, their placement, and the influence of room acoustics on the recorded sound.

The emphasis is on methods for reducing unwanted echoes and resonances and optimizing the acoustic environment for the most natural sound reproduction. Through various experiments and analyses, different microphone placement techniques are explored, with each microphone adding its own color, as well as the recording space adding its own effect.

Also shown are practical comparisons between different microphone models based on their use in specific music and recording environments.

In addition, the best equalizer settings and the use of compressors to shape the sound are explored according to the use of different microphones in different rooms. Special emphasis is placed on frequency response equalization techniques and dynamics control.

The work also includes the judicious use of effects to enhance and enrich the sound, with an emphasis on subtle approaches. The final part of the thesis deals with the technique of mixing multi-channel audio material into the final composition.

The steps leading from the basics of recording and editing to the final mastering process are described. The work also discusses challenges in balancing volume and stereo width, as well as the mastering process to achieve optimal sound quality.

The research findings not only contribute to the understanding of analog sound recording, but also provide practical insights for future sound engineers and producers.

By explaining the techniques and considerations involved in the pre-mastering stages, the degree equips professionals and enthusiasts alike with the knowledge of how to capture audio recordings of exceptional quality. productions.
