Academia encourages international mobility of academic and non-academic staff. Below you will find an elaborate overview of the Erasmus+ funding possibilities that you can make use of, both within and outside Europe.
Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Teaching
Erasmus+ Programme Countries
Teaching staff may apply for an Erasmus+ Staff Teaching grant. The teaching may only take place at an institution with which your relevant faculty has a bilateral Erasmus+ agreement. For information about the availability or set up of such an agreement you can contact your International Office.
These teaching periods may take 2 to 60 days, with a minimum of 8 teaching hours per week. This minimum also applies to stays of less than a week. The grant includes a fixed amount for travel compensation and a daily allowance for expenses. The request for Erasmus Staff Teaching needs to be submitted by e-mail directly to Academia.
Erasmus+ Programme Countries
Academic staff coming from universities located in partner countries (specific regions outside Europe) with which Academia has signed an Inter-Institutional agreement can spend a mobility period at Academia for teaching purposes (under the International Credit Mobility project).
The financing is limited to real costs (accommodation and per diems); up to 100 euros per day plus travel expenses reimbursement. To be considered for partnership and application for funding, please contact Academia’s contact person.
Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Training

As a staff member, you can make use of this funding possibility to follow a training programme in Europe. The aim of an Erasmus+ Staff Training is to gain knowledge or new insights from colleagues or projects in another institute of higher education. These possibilities include 1-on-1 job shadowing in the International Office, IT department, Admissions Office or Marketing Office at Academia.
