Student Martina Karova at the end of her practical training in Spain

Commerce

Martina Karova, student of the Economist – module Commerce, took part in an Erasmus+ practical training course in Spain, near Barcelona.

Martina is doing her practical training in a company where there are other Erasmus students from different countries such as France, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Poland and Italy.

Martina was very lucky when she first arrived at the company. She was greeted by a member of the team, Alex, who immediately offered to show her around the city. She and Alex caught on quickly and developed a strong connection that felt like they had known each other forever.

Martina had the opportunity to visit Barcelona, where she met other Erasmus Mundus students from countries as diverse as Iran, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Honduras, Venezuela, Kosovo, Russia and many others. They invited her to stay with them, which she gladly accepted. They played board games together until late and then visited the club where they danced until the morning.

Soon after Martina arrived as a new member of the team at the company, some of the students were already finishing their internships, so they organised a picnic on the beach to celebrate the end of their internships.

Martina has forged special bonds with the students, especially with Alex and Lashmie. When Alex left, she couldn’t believe how much she had grown in such a short time and she realised she had made a friend for life. Lashmie’s roommate left, so they decided to move Martina into her room. Together they plan trips, do pilates and motivate each other. Together they are looking forward to the next months and all the adventures that lie ahead.
