Graphic design student Taina Cvetko on Erasmus+ exchange in Barcelona

Taina Cvetko, a Media Production – Graphic Design module student, went on an Erasmus+ exchange to Barcelona, Spain. Her practical training tasks include writing articles and preparing fresh advertising designs.

Taina moved to Barcelona at the beginning of October 2024 as part of an Erasmus+ exchange to start her practical training and explore this beautiful but big city. Although she has been in Barcelona for a month, she has only just started to discover all that the city has to offer, as Barcelona is home to many sights, attractions and events. Life in the city is very lively and action-packed, and she is always impressed by this.

“I started my practical training on 14 October and my work involves writing two articles a week on different topics and creating promotional material on a daily basis, mainly Pinterest pins to promote the articles.”

She has also recently taken on the project of producing a promotional video for the blog and organizing and promoting the event on 22 December. Her task is to get as many people as possible to buy tickets, as she receives a commission from the sales. She works every day from Monday to Friday and has a busy schedule, but it suits her very well. She learned many new skills and deepened her knowledge of digital marketing through the internship, and her mentor provided a lot of support and guidance.

Over the month, she has met many new people, including friends with whom she socializes at the weekend. They often visit the beach or local clubs to relax and share life experiences in Barcelona.

“Living in such a dynamic city brings many benefits – from the opportunity to meet new people and culture to enjoying the beauty of a city that combines ancient architecture with a modern, vibrant lifestyle.“

She describes the whole experience as amazing and valuable. She feels that she learns something new every day, both at work and personally. She is looking forward to further exploration and experience in the coming months, as the exchange brings her invaluable memories and knowledge for the future.
